Broken Spirit - 7"That was the last of the lettuce."
"....You turned the rest of my lettuce into taffy."
"....I can't eat this sandwich now."
Fluttershy groaned, her saffron form rolling into the rich grass, the blades tickling her nose, brushing over her soft cheeks. She absently pulled the mayonnaise covered, wet and slimy piece of green taffy, grimacing as it stuck to her hooves. She was glad she noticed he had once again transformed her vegetable into some sort of sweet before eating it. That would have been a vile mixture.
"If you keep this up, you naughty thing, we'll be all out of vegetables soon!" Fluttershy punctuated her sentence with a firm, admonishing poke with her hoof to the cinnamon colored chest. The anger in her eyes only made the impish draconequus snicker.
"Oh please, my dear, because veggies are actually better than candy and sweets?" As he said this, an eagle talon snaked towards the soiled sandwich, peeling the mayonnaise covered taffy from the fla
MLP:FiM The Stars of Darkness: EpilogueDear Princess Celestia,
Because of the events of the past month, this letter will not only be my report to you about friendship, but also an update as to the state of repairs to Ponyville and Whinnyapolis.
After Dark Star vanished and you returned to Canterlot, Luna was kind enough to teleport us back to Ponyville. Everything was in a shambles, as you can guess, but when we came back everypony was already working on getting things together. Even the ponies from Whinnyapolis, who had only been in our town for a few days, were lending a hoof wherever they could. It was an inspiring sight, and our victorious return only added to the atmosphere; we held a party that night, despite the work that needed to be done, and Luna returned to celebrate with us. It was great to have your sister join us, and it was obvious to me that she needed cheering up. Pinkie Pie took that job upon herself, of course, and by the end of the night Luna was laughing an
Allegrezza - Part Twenty-NineVinyl casually swilled another gulp of her drink, her sense of fulfillment only becoming more complete by the moment. Of course, while alcohol has rarely been considered a functional vector for gaining spiritual peace in general pony society, Vinyl had always found it to be an excellent relaxing agent. It dulled down her fervent miasma of thought into an enjoyable trickle that unveiled itself to her at a much slower and more manageable pace.
It was because of this new state of mind that she failed to notice the barcolt's repeated attack runs on her vicinity, swooping down on nearby tables and claiming their abandoned glasses. Each strafe drew closer than the last, and they were finished with a fervent glance over at the pair. The barcolt had managed several of these passive assaults before Vinyl finally noticed the attention she and Octavia were receiving. She stared down the barcolt as he moved to assail the table adjacent to her and Vinyl, causing him to cough lightly and cloak himse

The air seemed to grow cold in Ponyville; the noonday sun overhead seemed to fall behind a huge, dark cloud, even though the day was perfectly clear. Everypony noticed it, even if they weren't aware of why; but for the bearers of the Elements of Harmony, the reason became abruptly and horrifyingly clear.
Next to Falling Star, a dark shadow gathered, sucking in all light and warmth, all happiness and joy as it formed into a pony-shape; the dark blue Pegasus took a step to the side as darkness burst out from it, sending everything into blackness for a split second before revealing a tall black unicorn clad in black armor and wearing a sword at his hip.
Twilight felt her mouth go completely dry, and in spite of her best efforts, she could not keep her own knees from shaking as the black stallion opened his golden eyes and turned them directly on her. The power she felt from him the absolute power washing off of his amulet was enough to drive a stake of fear int

In the small town of Ponyville, one can find a rather peculiar building near the outskirts. No, it isn't peculiar because it contains a pony eating monstrosity born within the very depths of the Underworld, but rather because of its peculiar appearance. The exterior was that of a carousel, very similar to the ones that can be found in a carnival. It was called (oddly enough) the Carousel Boutique. What was most interesting, however, was the purpose of this ornate establishment. If you were to ask a noblepony in the most fashionable districts of Canterlot where she got that wonderful dress she was wearing, she would tell you that it came from the same place that had just been mentioned. The Carousel Boutique was well known amongst the elite of Equestria for being the provider of wonderfully fashionable dresses.
Inside the shop was just as extravagant as the outside, if not more. The walls were painted in various shade

EDIT:I rewrote a good portion of Part 1; I simply wasn't happy with it... and now I am! ^_^ I hope you all enjoy it!
From the book Predictions and Prophecies: The Mare in the Moon-
" Legend has it that on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape, and she will bring about nighttime eternal."
The Moon shone down brightly on the mountains and plains of Equestria as it sank lower into the western sky. The night was wearing on, and soon the stars would begin to fade; the eastern sky would brighten, and the Moon would be brought to her rest as the sun rose. The endless cycle of day and night would continue on, as it had for longer than even the most long-lived ponies could remember; but for right now, at this moment, during this night, the Moon continued to shine her soft, silvery light down upon the land, smiling b
Allegrezza - Part Thirty-OneThe midnight moonlight crept through the curtains, illuminating the room within. Eerie protrusions burst forth from the floor and walls, casting grim and wavering shadows that seemed to stalk their way across the room. Octavia had never enjoyed nighttime, her night sight had never been something to shout about. Sadly, Vinyl's room was full of all manner of debris, casting irregular pony-shaped shadows onto her imagination.
The problem being, of course, that Octavia couldn't sleep. But an hour ago, this had been something of an advantage during the nighttime activities. Now though, it kept her mind turning over the same niggling doubts, snowballing them into overbearing worries and trepidations. She glanced at her...partner. She supposed that was the correct term, was it not? It had been a worryingly infrequent label that she had been unable to apply to many other ponies. Yes, the insufferably idiotic- yet practically saintly - mare laying beside her was her partner. Octavia felt assure
Allegrezza - Part Twenty-Eight"So, what do you wanna do tonight, then?"
Vinyl's grin spread across her cheeks, arching an eyebrow for good measure. Octavia gaped at her for a second, before experiencing a moment of blushing realisation. Her voice turned to a hushed whisper, tinted with laughter.
"Vinyl, you really can be so forward sometimes."
"What, I didn't suggest anything. Not thinking dirt thoughts about us again, Octavia?"
"Oh, but you...You really are the most irritating tease, are you aware of that?"
"I aim to please, m'lady."
"Well, I was feeling something more towards a nice, relaxing drink than anything else."
Vinyl gently raised her shades from over her eyes with the tip of a hoof, narrowing her eyes in an intently scrutinising expression.
"Alright. But I'm not drinking that weird stuff you do. It's Bacoltis all the way for me."
Octavia rolled her eyes, offering a hoof to help Vinyl from the floor.
"I suppose my attempts to integrate some self-respect and class into you have failed?"
"Completely and utt
Hearts and Hooves Day - Missing SceneThe sun was shining brightly today. The sky was a clear blue and everywhere you went in the parks of Canterlot, ponies were smiling and laughing.
But then, they had good reason to be happy. For this was hearts and Hooves day. And on this day, like it was every year, love was in the air. Mares and stallions alike spent the day with their "very special someponies". You could not go two steps forward without laying your eyes on some happy couple enjoying each others company.
But sitting on a grassy hill in the middle of the park, was one pony who did not have a smile upon his face. A white stallion with a blue mane, wearing a rather ornate red uniform of a captain, who sat there on the top of the hill, and was experiencing worry like never before.
Over the course of his time as a member of the royal guard, he had been against many things that might cause other ponies to quake with fear. He had faced down raiding parties of dogs without hesitation. He's fended off hydras and manticores. He

It's funny how half of a week can change your life. Five days ago, Wild Star had been a force to be reckoned with; a member of Nightmare Moon's personal guard, the bearer of the Element of Anger, one with fury, one with the wind and now he stood in a barn, staring down at the thing that had given him all of that power, wishing that it would just go away and leave him be.
"You feel it too, don't you," Wild Star said as he touched the amulet hanging from his neck with his hoof. "It's like there's something calling to the amulet. Like it's coming to life on its own."
Falling Star nodded and gave the pouch tied to his left shoulder a glance. "Yes. I can feel it." The two pegasi stood together in the barn at Sweet Apple Acres as the sun rose higher into the sky; most of the other ponies were still sleeping soundly after the late-night festivities, but the gray Pegasus had been awoken by a familiar and decid
The Warmth Under Your Wings, part 2"So where are we going, Dash?" Scootaloo asked, jumping happily in circles around the cyan pegasus as they walked the road to Ponyville. Rainbow Dash had asked the filly to come along for some reason, though she would not say exactly why they were going there other than Rainbow had some 'business' to attend to.
Rainbow Dash shot the filly a heartwarming smile. The happiness Scootaloo had been beaming with all day was something genuine, something she had never thought she would see in the orange pegasus. Before today, every smile Scootaloo made seemed to have required a command from her. Like she had been unable to laugh out of reflex like most ponies would when they are happy. That this smile and excitement on the skipping filly's face seemed to be happening without her realizing it, made Rainbow feel both glad and proud. She was the one who made Scootaloo laugh.
"You'll see when we get there, Squirt," Rainbow Dash said with a teasing tone. "But really, it's not that exciting. It's jus

In his life, Falling Star had done many things. He'd flown dangerous missions for the Princesses; he'd escaped ambushes by angry griffons, dodged irritated dragons and even faced other pegasi in duels to the death, something that had long since passed out of style in modern Equestria. He had been one of the fastest fliers in all of Equestria in his day, and had even been asked by the leader of the Wonderbolts, an organization that traced its roots back even before Falling Star's time, to join their ranks. He had done many things, and most everything that only a Pegasus could do but he had to admit that working as a weather-pony was not something he had ever done before. Rainbow Dash seemed to thoroughly enjoy her job, as much as she could enjoy work, at least, and Falling Star had to admit that as far as jobs went it was about as straight-forward as you could get. Don't want clouds around? Kick them with your hoove
The Warmth Under Your Wings, part 1The first thought that popped into Scootaloo's head before she opened her eyes was that the hay somehow felt different than usual. It felt so comfortable and warm, yet light as air and slightly wet like morning dew. She began poking the fluffy material a few times before she finally opened her eyes and took a good look at this strange bed surface. Surprised at first, she did not see hay, but a pretty white cloud. A smile formed on her face when she finally remembered just what was going on, and as she took a good look around the spacious room of white, the pleasant reality came to her like merry thoughts on a Hearth's Warming Eve's morning. This was not the chicken coop she had been used to.
"Finally awake, Squirt?" The orange filly heard from the door behind her. With a happy smile she turned around to see Rainbow Dash lean against the cloudy doorway, forelegs crossed and looking as cool as ever while Tank was hovering beside her with his noisy turtle engine. "You seemed so peaceful w
